Prof. Ke He received his bachelor degree from Department of Physics, Shandong University in 2000 and PhD degree from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. After working as a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Tokyo for three years, he joined Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009 as an associate professor. From September, 2013, he became an associate professor of Department of Physics, Tsinghua University.
The main research interests of Prof. Ke He in recent years are focused on molecular beam epitaxy growth of low-dimensional structures of topological insulators and characterizations and engineering of their electronic structures for various topological quantum phenomena. He have published over 50 scientific papers which have been cited above 1600 times in total. Prof. Ke He won "New Star Researcher Prize" of Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010, "Lu Jia-Xia Prize for Young Scientists" of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011, "Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize" of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012, and "Sir Martin Wood China Prize" and "Youth Science and Technology Award of China" in 2013. He was funded by National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2013.
