Prof. Ji received his Ph.D degree in physics from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008. Then he joined T. J. Watson Research Center of IBM, Yorktown Heights, USA as a postdoctoral researcher. From 2012, he moved back to Physics department of Tsinghua University as an assistant professor.
Prof. Ji’s main research interests are newly discovered quantum matters, such as topological insulators and iron-based superconductors. He has won 2012 IBM Annual Materials Research Community Best Paper Award for his research work done in IBM.
