Theory Diverse theoretical topics in cold atoms, quantum optics, quantum condensed matter and quantum information are pursued in our group, many of them in support of the related experimental efforts in quantum metrology, quantum simulation and quantum computation, as well as other applications of quantum technologies. |
||
Recent theoretical topics studied include spin squeezing, quantum entanglement, atomic spin-orbit coupling, atomic Feshbach resonance, Rydberg interaction, optomechanics, cavity quantum electrodynamics, topological phase transition, topological states of matter, etc. |

We are also interested in understanding the deep connections between quantum correlations and quantum gravity and space time. We are developing the theory and associated quantum technologies that can emulated and address these topics. |
